Giorgi Kharebava

Film director. Graduated from Georgia State University of Theater and Film (1998). He also studied at Italian National film school in Rome and Bologna University.

He has been active as a film director, D.P., screenwriter and editor. His career also includes directing TV shows for Georgian Public Broadcaster and Imedi TV. He is currently adjunct professor at University of Theater and Film, pursuing his doctorate and has also taught at Tbilisi State University and Caucasian International University. He has organized several international workshops and has been leading the Youth Filmmaking Summer School initiative held annually in Georgia’s regions.

He has worked on the extensive Film Glossary research project and co-authored the resulting English-Georgian dictionary of four thousand terms.

Since 2007 he is the founder and head of GFM Studio, production company based in Georgia.
